Shaw Grigsby is equally as cringeworthy

When they were within casting range, Ford reared back with his rod, intending to send his live shrimp past the cork so he could work it back with the current, but on his forward cast, the cork flung back and smacked his rod as the live shrimp sailed off for the ride of its life. In all the excitement, he had failed to flip his bail

Is everyone really going to act like they've never done this when sight fishing? Sometimes you get ahead of yourself.

I'm not saying he's not a good fisherman. Just saying his show is awful

Rispone is a cool dude.

I watched an episode of Ford's show when he was fishing with Peace. Ford was struggling with a tuna and peace turns around to him and tells him to stop spazzing out on camera. I laughed my arse off.

You must not have The Flyway Highway.

I'm good for it at least once a trip. Sometimes due to excitement, sometimes due to pausing after putting my finger on the line, sipping a drink, looking around deciding where to cast then forgetting to flip the bail.

I was told by a guide who used to have a show that Ford buys the airtime, or at least did initially. Basically, anybody can buy a bunch of air time on local cable. After a while, you may be able to get sponsors, which hopefully offsets the cost of the airtime and leaves some money left.

That's Tony Fontenot who I mentioned in an earlier post. He's my favorite fishing show guy. He can fish and seems like a pretty cool guy.

Yep. Tony has Tony Chacerre (the grandson) on a good bit. He looks like he's Jace Robertsons twin but I enjoy when he and Tony are fishing.

I think Charlie Thomason's Coastal Fishing Concepts is the the best outdoor show on TV right now. Dude knows his shite and actually teaches you how to marsh fish.

Agree. I like watching Charlie's show, Tony's show, and La Sportsman with Greg Hackney. Just wish Ford and ODB weren't in between them.
