Frick Linda!
Rented the same camp for 6 years. Showed up two years ago and they are building a camp next to us. Constant racket, loud music, cussing, and ogling my wife. I called Linda and explained I should have been informed of the construction next door and asked for rest of money back or to transfer to a different camp. She laughed in my face.
Three days later get a flat in my truck, next day flat in the boat. They had replaced the roof about 2 weeks prior. I picked up over 20 roofing nails and sheet metal screws around the camp. Sent a pic to Linda and she replied 'sorry'. Asked about crediting tire purchases and she never responded.
To make matters worse on the last day my 4 yo stepped on a rusty roofing nail so we stopped by Our Lady of the Sea in Galliano for a tetanus shot!
Oh and the toilet ran all week. I asked her if they could send someone to fix or I would fix it and have it deducted from my bill. I did and was never reimbured.

Linda is trash, but very well connected through her ex-husband Irv.

One of her local renters showed up to a bachelor party down there after coming home from rome's and told us of their arrangement for rental payments. Let's just say she must be a fan of King Pin and Roy's landlord.

I rented "for the good times" from her memorial weekend. The camp itself was nice but probably hasn't beem mopped in years. We all had Walmart feet. None of the lights or electrical outlets worked outside the camp. Couldn't even get electricity for my electric knife to clean specks. Ended up asking a neighbor if I could clean fish there. I realize it's a fishing camp but the amount of money they are getting for those things they should make a better effort.

Rented from the same outfit two weeks ago (Moose Lodge). Had multiple issues with the camp but the biggest may have been the inability to control the temp on the gas stove coupled with the inability to turn it off. It stayed on all week. She was pretty bitchy when I called her about it. Last time I rent from Grand Isle Rentals.

I have never had a problem using Island Realty. I've rented Sun Dog and Dolphin Watch. Liked them both. Only issue is Sun Dog really doesn't sleep 8 comfortably as advertised but we did have the a/c go out and they came and put in 3 window units asap. It was actually colder than with the central a/c unit.

Unfortunately she gets the blame but at the same time the owners of those properties don't want to fix them up and don't give a rats arse that people are complaining about the condition of the properties. Could she have handled it better? Yes but the properties are maintained by the owners not the leasing agency.

Isn't that why you pay a leasing agency? They are supposed to handle all that for the owner.

Every time I've called the agency in charge of my beach rental with a problem they send someone out immediately.

Nope because the Owners are responsible for paying for the problems and many refuse to put a penny into those camps so the leasing company is effectively in a bad situation other than cancelling them as clients but then again there aren't a lot of other options for those leasing companies due to the low inventory.

I lived close by during BP spill, same owner of my house owned that one too.

Let me see if I can dig up his number. Very nice guy and would not stand for that.

Well, any reputable leaser would/should walk when things continually screw up and are not fixed. She's as guilty as they are for screwing the leasers and knowing it.
Frickin' dumbazz.

Stayed there for a bachelor party in March. Wasn't bad. Rained the entire weekend so we never put the boat in the water. Bring a big rod to put cracked crab on the bottom off the dock.

Stayed there this weekend and it wasn't bad at all. I didn't see a single ant.
