re: ATTN: contractors/engineers of the OB - Mmackl1
I would be the hardest mofo on a punchlist with someone that is that hard headed. At least ask him if there is power running to an outlet that they run it out of the way of where you want the window so you don't have to get an electrician to jump the outlets in the attic later. If they tell you ...

re: Name that Mercury Motor Part - Mmackl1
Not sure where you are located but St. Gabriel hardware has a good selection of hardware. If not fastenal should have it, might even call the local shops and see if one of the mechanics has one laying around....

re: Name that Mercury Motor Part - Mmackl1
saltwater + carbon steel = no bueno. It will rust out in no time. I doubt you had a problem with it breaking off as much as you did it just coming loose. If you are worried about that just put some blue loctite on the stainless bolt that you your replace that grade 8 with....

re: Name that Mercury Motor Part - Mmackl1
There is a bolt that you access from the top that you should be able to tighten instead of using a pipe wrench, it is adjustable so if you ever feel your boat pulling to one side you can adjust this to help out some, it is meant to counteract the pull from the rotation of the prop. It is also a s...

re: My GSP had a seizure this morning - Mmackl1
My border collie had one in my office 2 weeks ago, scared me pretty bad. I brought him to the vet right after and after doing bloodwork his liver enzymes were really high (they were normal a month before that). He is always eating grass and we were at the camp working the day before so she said h...

re: delete - Mmackl1
Ha.... that's what everyone says! It's an addiction. You can find some decent ones that are already built like you want and save some money, although some people selling don't understand that having $10K in parts does not necessarily bring 10K over blue book. Go rubicon if you can afford it, a...

re: Should I replace my electrical sockets that went underwater? - Mmackl1
Just remember, "black people get gold teeth" and you'll never hook it up backwards again. Hook the black wire to the gold tab. Heard that from an old electrician and never forgot it....

Stayed there for a bachelor party in March. Wasn't bad. Rained the entire weekend so we never put the boat in the water. Bring a big rod to put cracked crab on the bottom off the dock....

re: Water coming in my boat? - Mmackl1
Do you have a water pressure gauge or a speedometer? If so check both of those lines (small rubber hoses about 1/4" diameter). Although it is more than likely a loose or cracked thru hull fitting. Just had this problem on a buddy's nautic star. luckily it held long enough to get back to the dock but...
