re: Saints Draft Outlook from an AFC GM - marinebioman
The TE from South Alabama by way of UAB is legit. Everett is his last name. Its not often that a TE would run wildcat in short yardage/goalline packages but thats exactly what the Jags would do with him...he is pretty damn athletic....

re: anyone had to do HGH treatments for their child? - marinebioman
Thank you for your story. I agree that this is something not to be taken lightly. I keep holding on to this probably unrealistic expectation that one day he will just catch up and grow to be a normal height. I know its probably still possible at this point but I guess I am realizing that I can't ...

re: anyone had to do HGH treatments for their child? - marinebioman
That is something I am not sure about yet. Like I said, we aren't even sure if he will need it, but my impression of reading between the lines of what the endocrinologist said yesterday is we should be prepared for it....

re: anyone had to do HGH treatments for their child? - marinebioman
Its good to hear from someone going through it right now (although obviously it doesn't make me happy that you guys are in that situation either). Do you mind me asking if your insurance is covering it, and if so, is it still as expensive as I read (~$500/month)? Obviously we will find a way to pa...

re: anyone had to do HGH treatments for their child? - marinebioman
No need to apologize! I just need to quit stressing out about something that might not even be necessary. Its almost a month until the test so I have to somehow quit stressing about maybe's and what if's right now....

I appreciate all the questions and most of the comments so far. This place can be a magnet for a-holes but it is nice to be able to discuss something troubling go on in my life. Good job OT....

re: anyone had to do HGH treatments for their child? - marinebioman
Not sure of the exact test that was done about 9 months ago (I spend a lot of time out of town for work) but they determined his bones are behind about a year and a half, which the way it was explained to me was not necessarily a bad thing because it meant he had more growth ahead of him and that he...

re: anyone had to do HGH treatments for their child? - marinebioman
He has the test next month that will determine everything as far as treatments vs. just monitoring him. Its weird because on the one hand I want the test to come back saying his hormone levels are normal but on the other hand I don't want him to stay tiny for the rest of his life...He is super smar...

re: anyone had to do HGH treatments for their child? - marinebioman
Its supposed to be. It is a normal treatment for children whose body is not producing enough of the hormone themselves. We certainly aren't considering this for any other superficial reason....
