I wonder how many of these cry babies would be willing to pitch in and pay the liability insurance for these property owners?

trespassing to hunt and fish = poaching

the river rats are more into duck hunting than fishing.

For a little while there we had a civil discussion going on, then you opened your fat stupid mouth and spewed word diarrhea all over what little intelligent conversation was left.

I bet you wouldn't dare say that shite at the boat ramp.

You were a member of the kayak fishing club, no? I'm guessing you never once fished shallow water in your kayak outside of a WMA?

More power to you if you did, but I just fail to see how a kayak could ever manage to not trespass in Louisiana.

Float the Mississippi, Red, Amite, Pearl, and Sabine, you know, the ones where you will get run over by bardge, ship, and cigarette boat drivers. Don't dare leave the main body of the river though.

Who has the authority to run someone out of a canal , bayou or any body of water?

Landowner, Sheriff's Dept., and WLF

quote:

Do Game Wardens patrol these areas for the land owners or lease holders ?

If there are reports of trespassing, yes.

quote:

Do Sherriff Deputies have nothing more important to do with all the crime on the streets ?

Same importance as calling in someone for trespassing on any other piece of property.

quote:

I mean who with authority really cares enough to justify their salary that's being paid by taxpayers by the way , to run the same taxpayers out of a fishing hole?

More than that and you either or being obtuse or ignorant to the situation.

quote:

Putting gates up involves putting pilings down that requires permits.

I don't think they are driving piles 10ft into the ground, more so about like putting up a gate at a pasture.

quote:

So how do you know that a gate on a canal is legal and justified?

Go look up the navigable waterways and verify for yourself if you question it.

quote:

There are way more questions out there and way too few answers. At least answers from someone that has the power and authority to justify a legal answer to this issue.

There is plenty of information to look up if it's that big of a concern or question there is law written on the matter and prior cases.

They need to get the support of the guys that live in the Mississippi Delta that can't fish the back water when the river floods due to the water being on private land. They will need the support from every sportsman in La to get anything done any way.

This is trespassing in the most basic of ways in accordance to the law.

WLF

They will consider it a civil issue now and are not likely to report for trespassing alone. There has to be a credible report of poaching, etc.

May have at one time, but not the case with the enforcement officers I have spoke to recently.

Not really accurate everywhere. In the costal zone, basically below Hwy 90 across the state, a permit is 100% a requirement to do this activity.

Is trespassing unknowingly somehow different than willingly ignoring signs?
