That reminded me of a story about a guy from Cottonport, La. Some of you Avoyellesians may know of Pierre (not saying his last name).
A cousin of mine was in Lee's Bar outside of C'Port, maybe 40 years ago. This inebriated Crawfisherman came in the bar with a sack full of a 4' cottonmouth and shook him out in the middle of a late Saturday afternoon crowd. My cousin climbed up on the bar cuz he said his stool wasn't high enough. People were running out of the bar.
Said Pierre, himself somewhat in the suds, yells out " "Ah'll ketch dat mfer" (Use your best cajun accent).
He got bit twice trying that. And had to be taken to the ER.
