I was given a .410 Savage shotgun when I was 10 years old and the ex-wife sold it. I am so freaking pissed right now. My son used it and didn't bring it directly back to me. I guess the ex wife thought it was fair game since it was at her house.

Go steal her car to teach her a lesson. If it is yours, how could she sell it?

Your ex-wife sounds like a four letter word that begins with a "C" and ends with a "T."

Selling stolen merchandise is illegal and if the firearm crossed state lines it could be federal. Find out who bought it and go get it back. They have no right to it. They bought it illegally.

If she sold your car or your house would you just blow it off and say "that sucks"?

This and if you really want it back and put your Ex in jail, you have a chance to do it.

This is easy

Call her and tell her you want the gun back or you are going to the po-po

If you're not the type to call the po-po then let her know great pain and agony will consume her life until you get the gun back

Whatever type of guy you are will determine which one of these scenarios she will be most fearful of and take the appropriate action.

There's gotta be some legal action you can take. She sold a firearm which didn't belong to her..

You basically hit the jackpot if you want your ex to spend a night in jail. Im thoroughly convinced that women are born absent of common sense.

Please God, if this gentleman's story is true allow him to get his gun back. Also please see that the thief is dealt with under the full extent of the law.
Amen

I don't understand a woman's revenge nature or stupidity.

My uncle in law had a stroke a few years back and has not been right mentally since. My aunt sold their 2010 dodge ram 2500 diesel with 13,000 miles on it for 12k without him knowing. WTF.

My uncle also loved to collect guns. He couldn't shoot them anymore due to his stroke but had a huge collection. He even said to my father in law that he would never get rid of his guns unless they go to family. This year I decided to ask my father in law if his brother would sell me a few guns or ask the aunt. Turns out she sold every single gun to one buyer for 1000 dollars. This included a handful of AK47's, AR 10 and 15's, Colt Pythons', various 1911's.....

The family hates her now.

Oh and BTW they have health insurance and he made 350k a year before the stroke and it's all gone now because of his wife's shopping problem and their lesbian daughters need to please all the fresh tail that comes her way. (She really big and ugly, athletic type)

So OP at least this didn't happen to you. LOL

She did wrong, but you still have to weigh the effect of putting your kid's mom in jail, on your kid.

Talk to her first. Let her know you want it back and its up to her to get it, ASAP. If she resist call the cops.

sounds like your aunt is just an idiot. i think anyone more self serving would have at least looked into getting a little more money for the crap she sold.

if he was making 350K before the stroke though she probably just has no clue when it comes to money.

ETA: aunt-in-law
