I have a 08 tundra 5.7 crew. 200K

When I say not a wrench has been on it except to change oil, tune up and change timing belt as scheduled and brake shoes that is what I mean.

The battery lasted over 7 years. It was a Panasonic.

I also owned a Dakota about 20 years ago. Definite POS. All I would say about Dodge/Chrysler products is when they're good, they're good. But when them frickers go bad, they don't frick around about getting there. Wind up throwing good money after bad. Still have a 2000 F-150 4x4 and love it. As I mentioned in another post, I recently set another engine in it for a little under $3k and it runs like a charm. It's a neat ride on open highway and does a great job of pulling my boat.

I have a Dedge Ram ecodiesel, Laramie package.
I drove every truck on the market before making this purchase.
I almost bought an F150 swamp package.....but the sales manager was a d-bag. Best thing for me because I love my ram!!

Fwiw, favorite trucks are very regional.
100% of the hunting guides I know out West own a Dodge Ram. That speaks volumes to me.

To each their own.

You'll seen more dodges running hotshot and hauling cattle than anything else as well. They're great pulling trucks.
