Does Dodge make good trucks?

I'm in the truck market and like the look of the Ram. I used to have a Dakota back in the day but it was a POS. Have they improved at all?
TIA
TIA

Good point. I'm still curious, though.

Besides a Tundra, they're all a crapshoot

All brands have issues at some point
Do your research
It's your money buy the brand you decide on

Just bought a 2012 ram, big horn luxury package. I love this truck. I've driven dodge my whole life and the only problem I've ever had was with my 03, a leak in my power steering and had to replace the cooling fan.

I had a 95 Dakota and I should not have sold it in 2007. It was still running great.

Hell no. I have an '04 Laramie 2500 5.9 and a 2011 6.7. Trans went out in both around 125k miles

I had a Durango for a work vehicle and it held up nicely...apparently, they are a lot better than they were when I was growing up.

My 2012 Laramie still drives like new and I haven't had a single issue.

They are at least a lot better than they used to be.

Honestly as good as any of the other brands. Have a 2011 with 89k on it and has been great. That has been running 35" tire for the majority too. Love my RAM!!!!!

In my experience, yes. My dad has an '06 that runs like a top. My grandfather has a 2014.
My grandfather's business bought a new shop truck every year, and most years he bought a personal one as well. My entire family drives dodges, my uncle has bought 3 more in the last year for him and 2 of his sons. They swear by them. Course he bought the absolutely top of the line 3500s. Last time I looked them up they were close to 70k brand new. I wish I could remember what trim levels they are. It's like a Dodge version of the southern comfort trim levels. Off to Google I go.
If I had to guess, between all my family members, and the family business. My family has purchased upwards of 40 Ram trucks since the early 80s.
Honestly...they always bought Dodge 1500s because the GVW was high enough to earn a particular certain tax rebate. Whereas you had to buy a 2500 or 250 with Chevy/Ford. They love them now, but they are much better trucks than they used to be.

Best truck in the market.....

SUPPOSEDLY, dodges ride the best out of all trucks. I can't vouch for that, but have had several people tell me that.
I'll be looking close at them for my next truck. They are also the most reasonable.
I really really really want a ram 2500.

got a 2001 Ram 1500 with 250,000 miles on, still in real good shape, love it

Since ram left dodge the ride quality has been through the roof.
Really incredible IMO. I don't own one but what's wrong with a nice ride and a hemi?

My last 5 trucks were Dodge. One I have now is a 2004, 2500 diesel. Have about 190000 miles on it. Had to replace the complete front end at 170000 miles. Cost around 1200. Other then that, it has never been in the shop. I hear that the trannies go bad. In 5 trucks, I never had one go out. And yes, I run my trucks as a truck.

Currently drive a 2010 Sierra 1500. My next truck will be a Ram 2500 with a Cummins. The ride is fantastic, the mpg's are pretty good, and in my opinion they have the best styling with GM being second. Ford could have taken the F250 and built the same body style in aluminum and it would have sold like hot cakes. Yet they decided building goofy arse looking spaceships was a better idea.
