Bass boat owners are the most prepared demographic by far. I say this as a bay boat owner.

Has nothing to do with the boat, everything to do with the owner......

I'll be damned, but I'm pretty sure I've seen the other end of this debacle coming back into Bob's to pick up. Same set up, but they couldn't get the damn pad eye back over the roller to trailer the boat. Had three bro-dudes working on it.

El capitan tried to get it over by backing off about 10 feet and gassing it, but he just kept ramming the crap out of the roller. That was a freakin train wreck. Still not sure how the roller stayed intact.

We laughed hard while asking if they needed help. They told us this wasn't their first rodeo.

My experience too. With Lake Fork being the exception. If you've ever fished a Skeeter Owner's Tournament you know what I mean. Those guys from DFW are terrible at backing a boat in.

I put all of my stuff in the boat and remove transom saver and all straps before I pull up to the ramp. The only thing I do is leave the bow eye hooked until I back her down. I don't like "that guy" at the ramp. So I try not to be him.

yea cause you just sliding off a big yak with a 250 on the back.. easy to slide, easy to move, easy to step onto it, less stuff you can bring, less people can fit on boat, smaller truck to go park...

People are taking the bass boat owner joke a little too seriously.

I am obviously missing a "get pissed off at a lot of shite" gene.

If it is prime fishing, it takes a whopping 5 extra minutes at the ramp to wait a few people out. I plan on being there a while, so I am in no big arse hurry.

Didn't realize there were designated salt/freshwater ramps... Next time I fish Delacroix/Carnarvon in my bass boat, I'll make sure I get the ok to launch...

I'm always in a big arse hurry getting down there. It's the thing I have been looking forward to all week. I still get antsy before every trip I make, hope that never changes.

Of course it wasn't their first rodeo....their first rodeo was that morning when I saw them trying to launch. It was their second rodeo when you saw them picking up.

I just enjoy the whole part of being out, Alx and I can get a boat in and out in a big hurry. In the day, he would just push your truck out with his Mariner as he hit the trailer.
