Coworker coming back to landing at Bayou Black ran up on this yesterday right after it occurred. Prayers sent.

Accidents happen guys. I personally hit an underwater stump in an offshoot of Amite river testing out a brand new bay boat. When I hit the stump it shot me to the left and we hit two trees in water, and buckled fiberglass. It can happen on the water when least expected. My wife was 5 months pregnant, and thank God didn't get hurt when she fell over in boat. My american eskimo dog however came running up from the bank she apparently flew out, and was not happy

FYI~ zero alcohol involved

Everything goes this fast these days. Many HP bass boats now top 70 mph. RIP
