Just noticed the trailcam on the tree behind her. Wonder why that's there?

To monitor any deer passing through the area?
LOL, just being kind of a smartass, looks like someone has a nice place to fish and hunt. I'm jealous.

Amia calva. Common names choupique, grinnel, mud fish, cypress trout, and other things.

Is this a relative? Seems odd for a random pic of a younger looking gal
No matter, she is braver than me, ive never touched one of those slimy stinky bastards

Wasn't about the girl. She just the daughter of an old friend.
The fish in question was caught in a river in VA where they live. I had never seen one before and was wondering if it was an invasive species.

Virginia? WHERE in Virginia? Had no idea those were up here. We always called em bowfins. Thought the winters up here were too cold for bowfins, grinnels, mudfish, chopiques, or whatever they're called? Daddy never would touch em, either. Said he wasn't about to handle no fish that could touch its mouth with its tail.
