The fire chief would know that that a fire wouldn't hide the evidence of the death by gunfire.

Wrong. The suicide you mentioned was the Zachary/West Feliciana fireman from last week.

Oh shite. So this is another fire chief's wife that died from a gunshot? That just adds to the crazy.

Can someone comment on how the state fire marshal's office bungled the investigation?

One would think the fire chief would be smart enough to know you can't shoot a person then burn the house down and expect to get away with the medical examiner not finding the bullet hole(s).
So, who else would be suspect?

The husband had a girlfriend, someone must know who she is- obviously someone with very poor eyesight because that fella is VERY unattractive. Somebody will start singing like a canary!!

Damn, I always thought steve was kind of shady and I didn't trust him but I never knew he would do something like that. But then again I only knew him through a good friend of mine. That is all I can really say I don't want to expose my friend. If I said anymore you would surely know who I am talking about.

Evergreen fire chief murdered his wife last year or year before and burned her to attempt a cover up. These mfs aren't as smart as they think.

That site has a good explanation of it.
Basically, of they didnt know what they were doing they should have called the atf. From what Ive heard is that there is a serious lack of confidence in the fire marshals office. I dont know about now, but some old NOPD people told they weren't allowed on fire investigations in New Orleans. NOPD worked with the ATF on anything that needed it.

Krentel is a very old rooted Lacombe family. Bayou Lacombe turns into "Krentel Creek" upstream from 190. (Not that it matters, but I hope the good ole boy doesn't get away with it)

If enough people start asking questions it will lead them to the killer. Follow the girlfriend and the money!! Just have to figure out who the side dish was!

Interesting that a "YouCaring" donation fund was established a few days ago (before the news of the wife being shot) and it has yet to garner a single supporter.
He may not get a lot of support after all he has done to get to be the chief. You would think the brotherhood of firefighters would be donating a lot but the brotherhood doesn't support him that much (except for a few people who are on his ego trip train).
So his Youcaring fundraiser is still up without a single supporter and doesn't look like any money has been raised. LINK
Now Nanette's family has started a YouCaring account to raise money to pay for a new autopsy and for a lawyer LINK. It has already raised over 2600 dollars in just one day and has been shared 570 times.
From the link for Nanette's page:
quote:
Although we know in our hearts that this is a homicide, it has not been determined as such by the coroner, and the investigation into the manner of Nanette's death is ongoing.
Also:

Her beloved dog and two cats also perished in the fire
It's almost impossible for me to believe this is a suicide if THREE pets died (1 dog and 2 cats). An animal lover like Nanette would have never done that to her babies.
I am glad Nanette's family is pursuing this and have such support.
