A big difference between the north and south shore is that the north shores business isn't blasted over the airwaves 3 times a day every day of the week. A lot of criminal and underhanded activities that happen up here never see the light of day because of that good ol boy network that very much still exists.

Id rather live in a parish where the murder rate doubles from 10 to 20 than live in a parish where it gets cut in half from 300 to 150

I don't think either would bother me.

I'm not exactly the murdin' type.

You would think the fricking fire chief would be the first one to know that shooting her and trying to cover it up with a fire wasn't going to fool anyone.
... maybe it wasn't the fire chief.

Or maybe it was the fire chief and he did it that way so his defense could be "I'm the fire chief! You know that I would know that this isn't a feasible way to cover up this crime! So I couldn't have done it!"

There isn't anyone left to murder because everyone is dying of boredom.

If it was the fire chief, you figure he could just get away with shooting and killing his wife, like so many other people do, by claiming they were cleaning their guns and it was an accident.

Stephen and his brother Bryan were our very best friends when me and sis were little. We were always together playing with Stevie and Bryan. Our parents were lifelong best friends. Stevie grew up to be an jerk and I knew this loooong ago. I have said it for years that we should have drowned him when we were kids.

He is an a-hole as a fire chief, an a-hole as a person and possibly a killer as a husband. Hope he fries!

Sounds like he was putting his own twist on Sharon Stone's general defense in Basic Instinct.

SPOILER ALERT!

She did it, too.

Permission granted.

PS, I love your profile pic and the reason that you keep it as your pic. I remember long ago that you said a good friend made it for you.

To the rest of the OT... Don't get me wrong. Stephen comes from a great family. His parents were best of friends with my dad till the day he died.I grew up calling them Uncle Herman and Aunt Maureen. His dad helped to restore the antique fire truck for the Mandeville fire dept. They are good people.

My family is involved with the St Tammany FD and have been for many generations and decades. Stephen caused a lot of issues in his twisted ambition to get to be chief (not just with my family members but with everyone). So he has not made a lot of friends with his ego driven ways. He has made quite a few enemies along the way.

So yeah, I did kind of pop off with an angry post about him. I only wish the best for his family though and feel horrible for his wife's family. It is bad enough to lose a loved one but to lose them in a way that you know someone did it on purpose is especially painful.

Someone being murdered is pretty fricking hard to cover up. At the very least you would see a high level of "missing persons".

Maybe the fire was intended as a middle finger to him from one of those enemies.

All I know is the fire marshalls office is coming out of this looking like a bunch of retards.

How is an agency that specializes in investigating fires, cant even train their people to investigate fires.
