That's on the cheaper end of the spectrum. I've read it can be anywhere from 20-50K now to adopt.

Is this really true or are you exaggerating?

The website said this concerning costs for adoption in my state.

Also, orphans living - for example - in a third world country in Africa are a lot worse off than an orphan living in foster care or the orphanages in America. There is a much greater need internationally.

This. In some cases you are LITERALLY saving that child's life.

Just because he would only adopt in the US doesn't mean he should try to make others who choose to adopt internationally feel bad about it.

I have no idea about adoption, but is this why people go overseas for adoption?

My aunt has tried to adopt some kids from a drug addict mom. She lost them to the drug addict because the court favored the mom. Be prepared for something like this. OTOH this might be a totally separate process. I dunno

Who doesn't?

Koala bear, baby sloth, baby penguin....I'm sure they will all get along great! And my dogs would just love new friends.

they literally do, a lot of the kids under social services have some sort of medical diagnosed exceptionality and qualify to receive disability

When I worked at woman's there was a druggie mom that was supposed to give her baby up for adoption. She realized she would make more money off welfare and foodstamps keeping the baby. Instead of realizing she has like so many hours after the baby is born to claim her parental rights...she did every single drug she could get her hands on close to her due date which resulted in her going into labor and her and baby testing positive for drugs(which was a stipulation in the adoption contract...baby had to be white and not test positive for drugs or it would void the adoption).

Poor adoptive parents paid for housing and health care for this POS and then just had their hearts broken cause she realized it was more profitable to keep the baby.

We have a lot of kids go into medical foster from our hospital.

One kid I know of...his foster parents get 3k a month to foster him.

I've never seen it, but isn't that what sandra bullock did in the movie where she takes in a black to get rich off his potential in football?

The movie doesn't center around it, but the main character's little brother is black and adopted. There is a joke where the kid asks/mentions if he's adopted and the parents sarcastically say "WHO TOLD YOU!?"

Pretty funny.
