I'm sure it has been mentioned. but why wouldn't she just call the police to send over to her house... right after she got the text? (while telling the flight attendant to frick off, I have an emergency phone call)

Why is she texting him instead of calling him to begin with? Also, why the hell are you traveling if your husband is suicidal? I mean sometimes, people just snap, but there are usual some pretty large warning signs.

Cause she doesn't give a frick.

He's suicidal cause she travels with her whore pack.

She only made this public after she made a phone call to his life insurance company. Duh!

People close to suicide victims very often miss these warning signs. They are too close to the person or blinded by their love of the person.

Its sad, but true.

The hyphenated name told me all I needed to know. Seriously though, why is just SWA to blame? Maybe she should have gone home a day earlier. Maybe she shouldn't have gone on the trip at all, given she knew he was depressed. But most of all, it was his doing. That poor lady will carry a lot of guilt, even if undeserved. If it makes her feel better to strike out at SWA, so be it.

She could get a few $k by claiming to be a Louisiana fisherman. Other than that, I don't see any other compensation she's seeking.

I know there are probably many Swede Momsens in WI, but I wonder if she's related to the Swede Momsen.

ETTA: guess that was her husband's name

Wasn't there a mythbusters episode that proved cell phones can seriously mess with a plane's navigational instruments and occasionally wreak havoc on the plane when it's in autopilot?

He probably found out that the bartender from the last cruise did actually loose one inside her, despite what she said.

The text reached her just as flight crew were finishing cabin checks, but she said she knew the text was "serious" because her husband, who'd been very stressed recently, never threatened suicide before. She said that she told a male flight attendant what was happening and showed him the text messages.

"The steward slapped the phone down and said 'you have to put that in airplane mode. We were pushing away from the gate,'" Momsen-Evers recalls. The unidentified crew member explained that it was “FAA regulations.”

If someone I loved had really been doing that, I would of made sure that plane didn't take off.
I would of just yelled out. "These peanuts are Da' Bomb"

bm plane back to gate. Husband still alive.

The second chick really couldn't have done anything. They couldn't land the plane and they wouldn't let the pilot call the tower to call someone to check on the husband. That's an extremely unfortunate situations.

If they hadn't left the gate already there is nothing I wouldn't have done to get off the plane. If they had left the gate, there's a 5 minute window to make a phone call. I'd have reached someone.

This mother fricker though:

I'd have been arrested for killing him
