I've had a Facebook account since 2005. It was cool in the beginning, a neat way to stay connected with people you met in college and old friends from high school.
As time went on it evolved into what it is today, advertisements, viral videos and people ranting. Each year it became less relevant to me to the point where it's mostly an afterthought.

56 and no Facebook. The older I get, the less I want people to know any of my business. I still can't understand people taking pictures of food. Really?

Facebook was useful in college, aka what it was originally intended for. I signed up before my freshman year and i had friends and contacts before i stepped on campus.

I haven't logged onto FB in 4 or 5 years, don't have the app on my phone, but I assume my account is still there. I've heard that it's a lengthy process to delete an account so it seems sort of counterproductive to delete when you can just abandon it.

My resolution was to get rid of social media this year and I've had a lot more free time to come on here now.

Need fb for tinder, bumble so it's necessary

Haven't had one in 5 years about to be 36. For the last two years of having it it was essentially me and my brother and best friend just fricking around. I had blocked all the people who I found were annoying so I was down to about 40 friends.

I have a one, and an Instagram, but I literally unfollowed Everyone except for hunting and carpentry groups. I don't want to see anything political or controversial, seeing all that everyday just makes me a negative person. There's a lot of good info on there if you find the rights groups.

I think it is just wrong and trashy to constantly post your kids' images online. They might not appreciate it if that photo you thought was soooo cute results in infamy or the curiosity of strangers. Children deserve respect and privacy; they can't legally consent to their personal images being published the way people do so often. I think it's so disrespectful because your kids are little people with rights. They may eventually be very upset with you for impulsively sharing a picture of them with the world before they had a say on the matter.

This is the gospel truth. I've had FB since 2008. Married now and don't spend much time there anymore but when I was single, picking up strange on FB was like shooting fish in a barrel.
