I see the people saying Greeley, CO and this post here is about the closest evidence I have seen of anybody actually having been there.

people just see Colorado and think the entire state is nothing but picturesque mountain ranges

half the state is a barren wasteland

My business would more so be in Denver, but my Girlfriend's would be in Greely. Somewhere in the middle would be cool.

A large part of the eastern side of the state was a major part of No Man's Land during The Dustbowl. They should have ceded that shite to Kansas and Nebraska.

Based on having been to all of these places:

Eugene, OR.

Greely sucks. We're not talking about Aspen or Telluride.

San Antonio is the most boring, soulless place on the list.

Tempe is a matter of personal preference. I don't like the desert.

DC is a hot, humid cesspool of filth and depravity.

Blacskburg has nice scenery, but it's remote.

Greensboro is probably my #2, but beneath Eugene by a large margin.

Not really picuresque because you would probably still be out on the plains. Previous poster is right, people hear Colorado and they think mountains, half the state is high plains. Tough living out on the high plains.

Colorado would not be high on my list. If you want mountains be looking at Eugene instead.

This is true for every State West of 100 degrees W. Longitude. Even Washington and Oregon.

That sounds miserable. Move CO to the bottom of your list. I'd go with Eugene.

Eugene would be a good place to live...I've enjoyed it whenever I've visited, and it is beautiful.

That being said, I have a preference for Greensboro, NC. It is beautiful country, and is also pretty close to Charlotte and Asheville (both of which are awesome).

I live in San Antonio, and it's meh on the scale of 1-10, but it's close enough to my family in Houston and Lake Charles.

I guess I thought it was a decent place to live. Sounds like it rather sucks by some of the responses.
