Lancia Delta Integrale
Early to mid 80's Audi Quattro
Mostly imports. American cars sucked pretty bad in the 80s...90s were a little better. Maybe an original Viper RT10 and Corvette ZR1 with the OHC motor...and definitely the ones you've mentioned.

The safest bet is the 993 911. The Turbo especially, which is rising in value faster than the S&P 500. But even the lower-end models like the Carerra 4S and Targa are, today, selling for what they cost new in 1995.
I think the Mercedes CLK63 Black Series will appreciate in the future also. These have probably bottomed out at around $60-$70k (they were around $120 new). If they get any cheaper they're a downright bargain.
The BMW Z3 M-Coupe is also a rare one that seems to be heading up. Not many of these were built, and their style is polarizing but still very cool.
Not to leave Audi out, the B7 RS4 has held its value for the past few years and will probably be heading up in the future.

My mom (no pics) has one of these:
Saturn Skye
It's not super fast, but it's a cool looking car, fun to drive, and pretty rare.

None for the Mazda RX-7 either?
Good call...
Go ahead and add the Z3 Z4 M coupes and roadsters to the list as well. Rarer than many of the other M Cars.

those were fast but ugly.
1991 Dodge Spirit R/T. A neighbor had the regular Spirit up until the Hurricane.
I didn't know they were that fast..

Sold in 1991 and 1992, the Spirit R/T had a quarter-mile time of 14.5 seconds at 97 mph and a top speed of 141 mph, making it the quickest four-door sedan sold in the United States (the fastest mass-produced four-door sedan in the world. Two cars sold only in Europe might have been faster: the handmade BMW E34 M5 and Alpina B10, selling for the equivalent of $59,905 and $109,500, respectively. Thanks, Stephen, for details on the competition.) All this came at a base price of $17,820, including power windows and air conditioning.

Expand this to about 35 years and you get the 77 Firebird Trans Am.
Would live to own this.

I owned an 84' Audi 4000s Quattro in college.
Friggin car was awesome and I wish I still had it to this day.
Exactly like this but with Fitipaldi rims.
