I think the last one went for about $400, all in the same poor condition.

That's what I've been seeing as well. Hoping you had an extra. Ha

My dad bought my first full set of irons for $5 from our next door neighbor when I was 11 or 12. It was a set of 1964 Wilson Staffs (red dot on the hosel) that I played until I bought my own set when I was about 24.

Picked up a McIntosh MA 230 amp at a school garage sale for $30 a few years ago. Good working condition (a bit crusty and needs professional cleaning), all tubes work although mismatched.

I used to go to garage sales specifically hunting for vinyl. I would just offer $x for the entire collections-easier than sorting through each album. I've ended up with hundreds of albums that way.

I paid $55 dollars for this. It's now in my front yard.

Another thing I look for is lighters and smoking pipes(Zippo's, Dunhill). I have picked up a few Dunhill pipes for pennies and sold for $100-$300 each.

I have a lighter/music box combo it says Nescor Hi Fi (Made in Japan) on the bottom. It works and you wind it up and it plays Dixie. I worked at a grocery store in the 80s and the store owner gave it to me. It was old then and I assumed it was probably from the 50s. Any idea what is worth?

Zippo and Dunhill are basically the only two lighters that hold value (or appreciate). I have seen a few of these, the one I had was LSU and played the fight song. I would guess the one you have is $25 or so. (if it works)

Ebay, still the best place for it, even though they are very expensive now, but you get your best money from them still.

Big items I put on Craigslist or Facebook and sell locally.

Best find ever was a cool old box I had gotten for like $2.

Get home put it up in junk area of garage.
Get to it month and months later. Decide I want to change the fabric on the inside because it's all dirty.
Putt it open and find about 10 old 1920's pictures. and some coins. No gold though but all silver.

Usually when I go to a garage sale it's to get an appliance to flip or an impulse buy like a non working weedeater or a metal detector.

I'm just curious how you were able to verify it, sure it wasn't a duplicate proof. Etc.

The guy had an a/c shop there. I had a lot of a/c parts from that job. I scrapped it all. I use the scrap iron from those jobs to give my guy bonuses.

Nes with duck hunt gun

I've gotten some cool stuff at the Trash For Treasure Sale if that counts. I found an original, still sealed in the plastic wrap and original box, copy of Sid Meier's "civilization". Also found a poster from the 1986 Washington Mardi Gras complete with a medal from the. Mystic Krew of Louisiana. Also found a tan/greyish blazer that fits me perfectly for $5.

Found a concept 2 model C rower for $25. Cleaned it off, used it for a while and then sold it for $500.

I talked to the grandson of the photographer (owner of his grandfather's camera shop now) he said it was the only copy he knows of.

I found a toy T-Rex that I've had since I was a young'un. So now I have two. One for me and one for school for a demonstration of how we used to think T-Rex stood to how he probably stood. The toy was made in 1985.
