You won't have to worry about that, the Waldorf Astoria is being converted into condos. Where will the ghost of Eloise play???

Arrived @ 2am deep in inland China (Dongyang) and it was cold as frick. Got to the room which was very dim. Turned on the full lights and could see two fricking video cameras in there - one pointed at the front door and one at the bed. Next time I'll be sure to book my own hotel.

2 words.....Leesville Louisiana

We were doing some work at the paper mill in Deridder and stayed at the Hampton Inn in Leesville and it wasn't bad, but there were definitely some sketchy looking pay by the hour places on the way to and from the mill.

Stayed at a hotel in NOLA a couple of years ago. Like a lot of places they didn't have parking at the hotel so they had attendants who would take your car to a parking garage nearby. We went to check out and the guy grabs the keys and runs on over to the garage to get the car. After about 30-45 minutes the manager finally tells us that ol' boy lost the keys somewhere on the way to the parking garage.

I walked back with the guy looking all over the ground... we even checked in a couple of gutters. Another hour or 2 goes by and the manager is trying to get us a rental car but can't find anything open. He's about to load us up on a van to drive us all the way back to the house when the parking attendant comes in with the keys.

Turns out some construction worker saw him drop the keys, picked them up, and was waiting for the guy to come back through to give him back the keys. Well lunch time rolled around so the construction guy went to eat and brought the keys back after lunch.

Hampton Inn and Holiday Inn were still be constructed when I was working there....I "stayed" at the "nicest" looking structure in town for $45 a night....needless to say I was in the room for about 10 min and spent the rest of the night splayed out in the extra cab of my truck in the parking lot of the police department (my clients).

I've never had an awful experience but once at a Best Western in Cali, my toilet was backed up. I went to the front desk and the dude just returns with a plunger and says "Here you go". Obv plunging a toilet is no big deal but damn, at least say you don't have a janitor on duty before you make your customer fix your problem.

Stayed in a motel southern Indiana after breaking down and taking the afternoon/evening for repairs. $22/night and the only place in town with vacancy. There was a black and white TV on a "stand" that was made of cinder blocks with a piece of plywood between them. Random people / meth heads hanging out in the hallway. I slept for about 4 hours and got the hell out.

Cali,

was checking in to our hotel in Cali, Colombia one night, probably 9-10pm, there are a couple of janitors sweeping up broken glass and a couple of glaziers finishing up installing the glass on a jewelry store in the lobby, I asked the manager what had happened, he says a couple of guys tried to hold up the jewelry store but not to worry, the cops and security guards lit them up, when did this happen? oh, a couple of hours ago

5 star hotel BTW

All I can say is think twice before you choose to stay at Le Pavillon in New Orleans. That place is fricked.

Why is that? I see it recommended a lot on these boards. I've never stayed there, but the lobby area looks pretty nice.

A Ramada Inn. Shitty coffee. And a dead body in the closet. But it was the shitty coffee that really bugged me.

Took 2 and a half hours to check in. Three different tries at getting the room keys to work. Toilet backed up. Delays checking out. It's a pretty place but it's all on the surface. They did all they could to ruin my wife and my anniversary. We ended up having a good time overall but it was in spite of the hotel situation.

I'm a former coach. Team stayed overnight at the NO Riverside Hilton.

As the team (HS aged girls) is returning to their rooms from a game at Tulane, this portly 20ish woman who clearly has just been sexed walks out of her room in a slutty school girl outfit and calmly walks to the ice machine to fill her bucket. She then calmly walks right through the group of mortified girls and back into her room.

reminds me of a trip I was on in Montevideo, we were only there for about 6 hours, so the company puts us up in this little hotel right by the airport, paper thin walls, I'm in my room right next door to a pretty hot (female) co-worker, she starts pleasuring herself with her BOB and gets very loud and it went on for quite a while, later, when we met in the lobby to go back to the airport, one of the other girls that was in the other room that adjoined hers told her that she could be heard all the way down the hallway, the girl said she didn't care who heard her, she needed that, I told her that I was next door and would have been glad to help her out, she said to see her when we got to BA that night

Stayed at a Radisson in Dallas (1st mistake) that unknown to me was hosting a convention of shih Tsu dog owners. Every room had its own little shithead dog yiping its fool arse off.

I went to the front desk to complain and was told "sorry sir, this is a pet friendly hotel". I subsequently knocked on the door of the next door room and requested that they get that dog to SHUT THE frick UP. Dog got quiet after that.

Im normally more easy going than that, but the freakin dog would not shut up for an hour before.
