got drunk while at a hotel in dallas.

woke up to terrible butt pain.
when walking to truck, I noticed it was a one story hotel.

Checked in, went to room, took a shower, flipped the covers back ... and the sheets were covered in dog hair. Looked like German Shepherd.

LSS....got too drunk to drive so I rented a hotel room in Port Allen. I remember I just wanted to see the LSU-Va. Tech highlights and sleep. As soon as I paid for the room, about 2am, the power went off. The motel didn't regain power til 8-9am and they refused to refund my money.

Worst Experience You Ever Had In A Hotel?
I stayed overnight at a hotel and was to attend an AARP meeting later in the day. I mistook the room's exit door for the bathroom door and found myself naked and locked out of my room. In a panic, I ran down the hall away from the busy lobby. I crashed through a set of double doors and found myself in the middle of the Garden Club's flower show.
I was so embarrassed! However, I did win a consolation ribbon for best dried arrangement.

After the fact of the stay but got bed bugs from staying at the LaQuinta Inn in Lake Jackson, TX. Those frickers are no joke.

Stayed at the St. Louis hotel in the French Quarter for the '07 national championship. We had a good time. Room was definitely older, but it was in a great location and wasn't the worst thing in the world. Actually had some character even if it wasn't brand new and top of the line.
So a few years later, my wife and I (girlfriend at the time) decided to spend a weekend in NOLA while still in school. St. Louis had rooms for like $35 a night, so I jumped on it. Apparently that hotel varies greatly from room to room. We basically were in a completely different building than I had previously stayed in (old NOLA buildings and weird back hallways connecting to floors that didn't even line up with the floors in the other part of the hotel). Finally find the room and open the door and the bed literally took up the entire room. Like a bad movie where you can't even fully open the door. The floor wasn't level. If you laid a bottle of water on the floor it would roll toward the headboard. Our tiny window looked out to the maids closet. And the floor outside was level with the window due to the offset floors, so we just saw maids feet the whole time. Also, no hot water, or water pressure in general. It was miserable to be in the room. We were poor college kids, but still learned our lesson quickly.

Stayed in a motel in Jasper, Al back in the nineties. Checked in late and found blood spots on the bedspread. Investigated further and found a blood stain the size on a large watermelon on the underside of the mattress. Was so tired I slept in the chair.

The worst was the time your s/o came over to ask me for sex. You can take comfort in the fact that I refused to do the deed, she smelled that bad.

Noticing there were no clean glasses/no dirty ones either on the housekeeping cart. Wondered how clean glasses got to the rooms when guests checked out. Didn't use the glasses anyway, if plastic wasn't available or they weren't sealed, we'd buy throw always at drugstore. Don't use the ice bucket or hotel ice either.
Adding, starting checking things after seeing a documentary on TV. I think the hotels covered were Marriotts and how the rooms are not really cleaned. Since then, I bring my on sanitizing cleaner and wipe down all surfaces. Norovirus is for real, husband and a lot of other lawyers got it at a hotel in Chicago during a convention. This right after a lot of doctors got it at the same hotel two weeks prior.

Never had a real bad experience. The one bad experience I had led to the best experience ever.
Was supposed to check in to the Windsor Court for a weekend stay for fathers day and when we arrived, they tell us they over booked and because we were local, we were left with no room.
I emailed the general manager the next day going over some details and such of the confusion that took place and how annoyed I was.
He called me right away and promised to make it up to us. Ended up with two jr. suites at the club level at one end of the hotel with our own private door at that end of the hall. And wine and cheese waiting on us in our room when we checked in.
