re: What Is The Worst Experience You Ever Had In A Hotel?

Used credit card points to book a hotel near O'Hare (Chicago O'Hare Garden Inn) back in 2012. The pictures online showed some wonderful amenities. When I got there, it had a sign that said "Under new management." All the pictured amenities were either removed or closed. The entire back wall of the lobby was missing exposing the nearby air traffic and freeway traffic noise to be amplified.
It was cheap so I proceeded with check-in only to get to my room and find that, not only had it not been cleaned from the previous occupant, but that there was a bloody prophylactic on the pillow. I made a 180, went back to the desk, demanded that they reimburse my points, showed them pictures that would soon be uploaded to every travel site, and informed them that I'd be calling the city office of Rosemont, Ill.
They gave me my points and $100 cash, in exchange for not calling the city. They knew they would be shut down with a wall missing and no building permits.
I called them anyway, and the building was torn down as of the last time I went back in 2014.

I stayed in the room next to Carrie Underwood about 7 years ago. She would not stop hitting on me and demanded that I have sex with her. It was very annoying
What a coincidence...I stayed in one next to Erin Andrews.

Back in College some friends and I were on our way from Baton Rouge to Houston to go to Six Flags.
We broke down outside of Beuamont. So we walk to a road side motel. The Casey Motel. (this is before everybody had cell phones)
As we approached the Motel we wre making all kinds of jokes about this is how Horror movies start, etc..
The check in was creepy, old guy walking out a back room to the desk, just like in a movie.
We get the room, it has 2 beds and an old 20 inch TV. We turn on the TV and see it is on a porn station and then we see the picture rewinding and realize that this station must be connected to the main office and they just play VHS tapes.
We decided to just watch a basketball game and lightning struck outside and sent a power surge that took out our TV.
I decided to sleep full dressed and ontop of the covers. With my jacket over the pillow. We kept a light on bc we kept hearing some small rodent running around in our room. Plus a roach in the bathroom that was so big I think it was hunting the rodent.
No real sleep, left the next day.

Slept here one night. I'm shocked I lived to tell about it.
