They also have Canadian Swan Geese as well. Lots of cross breeding in Louisiana.

Seriously, there's a really cool tiny old cemetery just off Highland near the South gates of LSU. Some Civil War era and older graves.

I think it's actually off Oxford Ave near E. Parker. We used to walk behind a house from the little park on Amherst to get there.

That was the plantation cemetery for the Duplantiers. They owned Magnolia Mound and the plantation encompassed much of present -day LSU as well as College Town. It may have extended all the way to College Dr. Not sure about that.

cool, then I live on the plantation.

I've always imagined how awesome it would look if where I lived(extremely close to College Town, like in it) was completely wooded with no houses or roads. Seems to be a great terrain/environment.

I heard a Piggly Wiggly commercial the other day, and they listed only locations in other cities as their "Louisiana locations". I didn't think Plank one closed either, but they certainly left it out of their list in the commercial.

Cutting behind the Canes and Winn Dixie at Burbank to avoid that Lee-Burbank light. Lee is always backed up heading west bound, no matter what time of day.

The Shell station at Perkins and Oakdale (across from the Settlement at Willow Grove). Real good hamburgers, chicken shawarma and gyros for dirt cheap. (A cheeseburger, fries and a Coke is $7 with tax) All those construction workers building houses in Willow Grove go in there for lunch, so you know it's good.

I'm a big fan of Bergeron's for andouille, boudin and sausage. But my in-laws were raving about Benoit's in Addis. One of them brought some sausage from there to Christmas and it was excellent.
