I'm talking outside airbags to reduce impact on smaller and larger planes?

We do, but we charge them for two seats...so they are less likely to fly.

Ya, i'd also suppose we prefer our pilots to try to recover the craft by flying it/gliding it and not by going with the "frick it" option."

Not to mention if that happens at 30,000 feet everybody is dead anyways.

As for ground plane to plane impacts , it would have to deploy before impact, and the only way I see that happening is by AI collision detection

I don't see why airplanes and larger jets could not have parachutes. No matter what size the plane a parachute can be made. The price the airlines would pay would be costly but the cost airlines pays when a plane crashes are astronomical. Increase ticket prices and show the people these parachutes can save the lives of the people in them. Win win
