My lady knows now, but 1.5 on the sides. Scissor cut the top. Every other visit use the thinning scissors because my hair is very thick.

since i don't have a stylist and i rely on those "14.95 for an adult haircut" chains, i have a script:
"fade me up with a 3 guard on the sides and back and cut it medium-to-short on top to match"
