I get a haircut maybe 3 times a year. I usually just tell them to take it up a few inches and layer it.

Chop the top and front, 2 on side blend and thin
However, I've been to the same for 2 years. I just go in now.
Chop is angle cuts instead of straight across for more texture.

Never heard it put that way..but it's appropriate.
Now days I tell 'em ZERO on the sides...take it to the skin....and less than a 1 on top....leave 1/8" in on top.
I'd shave it all off..but I have a bald uncle back home that I don't want to be compared to...I can't stand him...
When I was growing up going to West Point Barber shop in Sulphur, Teddy LeLeux always cut my hair and knew exactly what I wanted....now days the guy that cuts my hair has to be reminded..and likes the "guard lingo". When did that seem to start rather than tell 'em "High and Tight"?
