Weight watchers works and promotes balanced diets and portion control, big fan of it. No need to be a shithead. Been on a keto kick lately.

You don't have to give up "most foods" and not eating junk and sugar is absolutely contradictory.
I'll allow you the chance to read over this and see your mistake.

It's the OT. It's always nutty as hell in here.

Ummmm....no it doesn't. When many foods are labeled as "zero points" and people think they can eat all they want, portion control goes out the window.

Like fruits and veggies?
I’ve done weight watchers and eaten as much fruits and veggies as I want and it worked. It’s proven, but I’m not here to argue with a troll.

Agreed. People spend way more time making excuses than actually accomplishing goals. For shame

Weight watchers works, the items that are zero points are so caloric dense you really can't over eat on them and they have you on such a deficit it doesn't matter.
Still don't like weight watchers do to the stupid point system and the lack of protein.
As far as losing weight being hard....read the damn lean gains book.

Ummmm....as I said, fruit is very high in sugar and should not be eaten like it's water (zero points...lol).

Weight watchers works
I have seen so many people fail because it does NOT promote balance, claims natural sugar can be zero points, and relies on a stupid point system that confuses people. It basically complicates common sense.

Sugar matter for shite when it comes to body comp, read on iifym. Now orgins of iifym were meant to be eat clean but it's ok to sub white rice for brown rice etc.
But in the end, weekly calories and daily protein are what matters. Now clean whole food has a much higher thermic effect of food and tends to keep gut healthier per studies. But as far as carbs, natural sugars from fruit, causing weight gain, no it isn't. People don't get fat because they are too many blueberries and strawberries. They get fat because of the other things they eat. Don't be dense.
Now if you don't like weight watchers due to it's lack of focus on satiety and over diet induced thermogenesis, well then fine we can have that conversation.
But don't claim weight watchers sucks because it allows you to eat fruit as zero points. You can't point to a single study that says lower carb greater FAT loss, but I can post 10 that show you would be wrong if you claimed that.
Dieting is not hard
Bw*12.5 is maintenance calories for most. Subtract 500 for starting Cal's.
Protein-55-60% of calories
Carbs-100g, enough to allow you to stay sane and strong. Low enough to allow enough fat to get the proper amount of protein
Fat- rest of Cal's.
Understand how to measure protein with your palm, learn to measure carbs with your fist.

Jesus. Not another thread where “experts” explain how everyone can stay fit based on their unique metabolism.
“Hey short people... I’m 6’4” and all you have to do to be tall is...”

lol I tell this exact same thing to so many people that want to look like me and wonder why I'm not making a living in the fitness industry. there's nothing special about eating healthy and working out
the fitness industry and supplements in general are scam trying to monetize hard work, sweat, and will power. there is no magic pill. a personal trainer is nothing but a glorified cheerleader. people are just looking for someone to give them the motivation and drive.

There's more misinformation in weight loss than there is in used cars and mattress sales these days.
It 100% comes down to eating healthier and exercising. If you stop seeing improvement, you eat even healthier, or you work out harder. Oh and don't demonize carbs if you exercise. They are important.
Getting hung up on calories is recipe for failure too. It helps if you're significantly over weight but in general when you itemize calories it gets stressful and causes people to quit. Just make a healthier choice most of the time and don't let guilt sink in when it's time to treat yourself.
Yes, calories do have a correlation to weight, and yes, where you get your calories from has a different effect on your hormones which in turn contributes to whether you gain or lose fat or muscle. So yes caloric sources do matter and that should be common sense at this point.
I counted calories for awhile but once I got within 10% of my weight I stopped having results. I had to optimize my diet and focus on what i saw in the mirror rather than the scale. It's important to remember that just because something got you from 0 to 70% doesn't mean it's going to carry you to the finish line.

Maybe so but only to people that truly know what they're doing when working out.
Most people have no clue what they should be doing when working out and what they should be focusing on and I was one of them when I first started.
When I first started out, I had no idea how to meal prep and what you should eat, what regiments and workout plans look like, what goals are realistic and what's not and so on. This stunted my progress for a while.
I had to really dig deep to figure this out considering my birth defects and I'm fortunate that I'm friends with people that already knew stuff like this and help make that process faster for free but others aren't so fortunate.

At least 99 times out of 100 people who say that don’t eat clean and go to the gym 5 days a week. I might believe your theory if you can find one, just one, picture of a fat guy in a concentration camp.
I've got a tracking spreadsheet with multiple witnesses to what I eat and how much i work out every day and according to my fit bit I burn 4000 calories a day. (30 minutes cardio in morning, hour walk at lunch, 1 15 minutes lifting in the evening.)
average around 1800 calories a day under 100g of carbs and fat. Yet Ill be lucky to lose 2 pounds a week at most and sometimes even gain weight.
But I'm sure you'll just tell me I'm full of crap because it doesn't fit your narrative.
