Good job, Jimdog! It really is quite easy. Anyone who says otherwise either has a severe health issue or is dumb as hell.

The owner of my gym just turned 58. He is in better shape than most of the 20 year olds who work out with us. People use age as a crutch.

The "secret": Burn more calories than you take in to lose weight. Burn off the majority of your daily calories to not gain weight.

That is only part of the equation. Not everyone has the metabolism. Plus what has been pushed with the food pyramid for so long, it's no wonder we are fat as a society.

It is difficult. You’re confusing simple with easy. It requires discipline which has been schooled out of a lot today

Try turning 50.

I'm in pretty damn good shape... but it ain't frigging easy. All my life I've been able to eat whatever I want... not anymore. And working out... NOT easy man. It takes a lot of discipline to do it.

Concept is easy... Doing it is hard. Maintaining it is very hard. Not everyone has the same metabolism. Some struggle to gain muscle some struggle to lose fat.

You don't have to really give up most foods you are already eating; you just need to cut back on junk and added sugars.

This is contradictory.

Not being fat isn't difficult, your're right. But eating chicken and vegetables all the damn time gets old.

Also, maybe some people don't care what they look like and prefer to eat whatever they want.

its literally the equation. If you have low metabolism you can’t eat as much, or have to exercise it off

There simply needs to be a deficit with one of two things. Either food or through working out.

I work out so I can drink copious amounts of beer and not weigh 300 lbs

I used to be fat as frick started working out 30-45 min 4-5 times a week and lost 100 pounds. Took a long tome but not that hard if you just eat right

The concept is easy, it’s the discipline that’s so hard and as humans always seeking the path of least resistance. That’s why the dieting industry is so profitable.

Self-discipline isn’t as easy in practice as it is in theory. Yes, the concept of weight loss is simple. But people generally don’t like being uncomfortable.
