I’ve always been healthy, fit and in great shape all the way up until my early 30s. Then I took a crazy stressful job as a GM with a startup company. Long hours but will eventually pay off when the business is fully established. However it did t take long for me to put on 20lbs working 12 hour stressful days and drinking a bottle of wine a night to unwind. Stress has to be one of the main underlying causes of weight gain man I can tell you. Anyways, I’m glad it’s so easy for you.

Yeah it's almost like people aren't born with genes that make them more likely to gain weight than other people. Why don't they just get in shape? It's so easy.

Agreed

Feel similarly for people who didn't dominate HS/college/grad school and didn't start out making 6 figures

Work hard and be smarter than almost everyone else, pretty simple

It is amazing to me that they haven't figured out a way to remove fat easily yet. There should be a pill you can take and the fat dissipates, then you piss/shite it out. Or a device or cream you put on and it breaks it up or sucks it out. Something. Science should have come up with it by now. Working out is just dumb. Bunch of running and lifting crap for no reason..

Well, as soon as a pill is invented, it will them cause cancer down the road, leading to more medical needs.

At least 99 times out of 100 people who say that don’t eat clean and go to the gym 5 days a week. I might believe your theory if you can find one, just one, picture of a fat guy in a concentration camp.

Ehh then a machine of some kind. Draws fat out through sweat. I don't know, just doesn't seem that hard to figure out. I think it's already happened, but it wouldn't be that profitable and would kill the whole fitness/supplement/weight loss industry. So they are hiding it..

You don't have to give up "most foods" and not eating junk and sugar is absolutely contradictory.

I have never been able to figure out the OT every time they vote. Sure, i can guess WHEN they will upvote or downvote but it's 50/50 whether or not they get it right.

Knowing one's BMR is the way to know how many calories one can eat/burn. Your OP is spot on. Calories are simply a unit of energy that, if unburned, adds fat. Burn more than you eat, you lose weight. Period.

Addendum to your OP: being in shape =/= proper weight for a height. They are separate. I know people that are a bit over weight but are vastly in better shape than people i know that are not over weight.
