We don't have any states at 15 do we? 16 is quite common and all states should go to that. Who cares if it's creepy? It's not a sickness and there's certainly no room in American Prisons for dudes(mostly) boning willing and physically developed 16 yr old chicks.
Same goes for that weed thing. All weed charges should be misdemeanor and fines in states where it's illegal.

If we're just talking about doing the deed I agree the age of consent could be lower. The problem is the age of consent for getting pregnant should be 35 with a steady source of income.

16 should be the age of consent, and it should be uniform across the country. If you like old movies, you can see that even as late as the fifties "sweet sixteen" was somewhat considered a girl's age for mature dating.

I doubt it in reality most don't want to think of their younger siblings or children engaging in those act but it's a fact of life.

I am fine with the age of consent as determined by state here in the U.S. Different cultures have different views and if Mexico wants to play the worlds creepy uncle that is their prerogative. What I do have a major problem with is how an 18 year old can be charged with statutory rape for having sex with a 16 year old. It happened to my nephew, he had been seeing a girl since he was 16 and and she was 15. They were 1-1/2 years apart so when he turned 18 she was still 16 and her father never liked him and he got her pregnant then BOOM! Hello to 2 years in Hunt and a lifetime as a registered sex offender. Yeah, yeah...La. trashy, I know! But complete BS and there should be a buffer law of some sort based on age difference that overrides the definitive line of age of consent.
