You write/post like a nerd.

Do something about that. Control what you can.

Damn... I didn't know that dentists made that much. Going on these ridiculous hunts and owning a $1+ million vacation house in florida... this guy's balling.

Well 2 dentists in Baton Rouge bought the Pennington Estate on Highland for 6 million, so yeah I'd say they make a lot.

Not that facts matter to some in this crowd...

quote:

This proposed regulation is based on three FALSE premises being promoted by the Administration for entirely political purposes:

Elephant poaching in Africa is escalating
Truth: CITES data shows poaching numbers have been falling since 2011 due to enhanced enforcement of existing law

Large amounts of illegal ivory are being imported into the United States that are driving the elephant poaching problems in Africa
Truth: both CITES and U.S. data show that illicit ivory imports to the U.S. are insignificant, it is Chinese demand fueling the poaching

By punishing Americans, the Chinese consumers who are really fueling the poaching problems will abandon their cultural affinity for ivory
Truth: Chinese demand for illicit ivory is independent from U.S. trade in domestic decades-old legal ivory

I would hope the US wouldn't give him up for the sake of social justice.
then again we gave 5 terrorists up for an army deserter and left our captured in iran after the deal

tried there for his crimes

i'm sure the corrupt system there will be quite fair
but yeah, he's pretty screwed and will probably sit in a dungeon for 20 years regardless if he knowingly did anything wrong

They need the money to allow their egos to cope with the fact they aren't real doctors.

We have no idea what, if any, laws were broken. No of us on the interent, no matter how bad of an Internet badass we think we are, know the details of the event.

There are Americans back in the states that are alleged to have committed much more serious crimes in other countries. Those counties request and are routinely denied extradition.

This is a lion people - we need to put some priorities in order here.

Blame his guide. You think this guy knows the backlands of africa like the back of his hand? He goes only wher his guide takes him and says "shoot that one"

Zimbabwe also sells tags for this. blame them.

More likely he will be extorted for a multi million dollar deal to control which way the dog and pony show goes.

A government that has been called out for decades regarding its human rights violations... and you want to send a U.S. citizen there to be tried for "crimes" committed while hunting?

If you go frick with a lion's habitat I don't feel sorry for you if you get killed. Sorry I don't want to see a bunch of third world bushmen expand into what's left of the wilderness so they can continue to breed like rabbits and spawn tens of thousands of more poor, diseased future members of Al Shabaab and Boko Haram. The millions of worthless lepers in SE Asia and Africa are ten times worse for humanity than any lions, kid.

He just needs to find the right Zimbabwean government official to pay off.
