Clearly not troubled by his illegal kill of Africa's beloved "first lion" Cecil, Minneapolis dentist Walter Palmer inquired just hours afterward about the potential of "taking" (in redneck vernacular) an extremely large elephant.

quote:

'We then went back to my place near Hwange. The client asked if we would find him an elephant larger than 63 pounds (the weight of one tusk) which is a very large elephant, but I told him I would not be able to find one so big, so the client left the next day and went to Bulawayo for the night and then flew out midday the following day.'

The Obama Administration moved earlier this week to heavily restrict the unsavory ivory trade.

Calls by SirWinston to Walter Palmer's dental practice went unanswered several times this morning. The last call was answered by an updated voicemail message asking the caller to please leave a message. The mailbox was full.

Cecil was reknowned as Africa's "most famous lion" and his unceremonious killing has led to massive outcry around the globe and outside of Palmer's suburban Minneapolis dental practice.

I have no problems with legal elephant hunts and think they are a good thing for the species.

I also own ivory.

I agree. I don't like what he did, but this story has gotten out of control. The false outrage is one thing, but people are trying to ruin this guy's life.

This sounds like the title of Kate Uptons new leaked sex videos. She's really trying to be edgy with the self promotion.

It's the "in" thing at the moment. Will probably go away soon whenever there's a new, cooler "tragedy"

No legal ivory has arrived in the US since 1989, however making it harder to own that 30 year old ivory will save elephants today. /sarcasm

Stars and bars
Lions
Elephants
Lives that don't matter
Oil
Etc.

Can you explain how restricting ivory from elephants killed decades ago will help elephants today?

Your messiah isn't a king, despite your wishes. Whatever he manages to do will be rolled back by a varied group of people fighting such foolishness.

maybe he should stop lying about "how bad he felt" - he clearly had no remorse if it's next preferred action was to go kill an even bigger animal and waste hundreds of more pounds of meat for a selfish and immoral kill.
