Great news man. You showed a lot of courage throughout.

To my knowledge, the only thing of real value behind that door was my friend. I don't know what type of friends you have, but my real friends are my brothers; you have to realize we all went through middle school, high school, and college together. I would not hesitate to give my life for one of my brothers. John 15:13 isn't just a Bible verse to me.
Was I scared? You're fricking right I was. Was I going to let fear destroy my values and emascuale me? frick no.
frick yeah.

Cork, it's good to see you. I have often wondered how you've been doing. I have no doubt that you will come out of this a better man. God Bless.
Thanks, I hope all is good on your end as well.

Yeah. Capitulation probably wouldn't have bought any mercy anyway. Giving your friend up would just get him killed too.
No point in being a coward. Ready yourself to atone for your sins, and do the noble thing. I'm not sure how I would actually handle the situation, but I hope it's similar to corkfather.
Plus, wtf on not finding the gun?
I know exactly where my guns are.
Again, not sure I would go COD on them, but I hope I at least have the option.

One was in a safe, and the other was lying on the floor in the room I got shot in. I saw it and thought when the gun jammed that he threw it on the floor. Had I known it was one of ours, I'd have shot them in the back as they left; and not feel a bit of shame about it.

Was this some sort of beef or an attempted robbery?

Corky, I know it's been a long hard road, but this was a huge step in healing. Prayers sent.

Please don't take it the wrong way. I didn't mean the events should have been different. I was just reacting to the article saying that he was looking for the gun and couldn't find it......

Mad Respek, Cork.
I really mean that, man.
Nobody should have to go through that.
I'm talking about the missing poster, Nobody. He should have to go through that.
Seriously man, WELL DONE. I'm Proud of you for your courage and optimism.

Of course not, but it's something the brain will automatically gravitate towards, that's just how they're built. At that point, you have to force yourself to view it as an isolated incident and when the anxiety comes to light, talk through it with calm rationality.

Exactly.
Growing up in Va, my best friend is black along with multiple of my other best buds. Moving to LA and experiencing urban crime while at LSU made me a geographical racist and I don't think there is anything that can change that... because I experienced dat culcha first hand

I don't give a shot if yall saw it. I deleted more out of respect for the guy and what he went through and not to bring that to his thread.
