This is great for BR. I know how hard it is to get a taxi around there

So is there a money-making opportunity to be had for someone who just likes to drive?

but Uber is just regular people giving rides right via an App?

That's one of three options, which is the cheapest and called UberX.

Uber Black Car and Uber SUV are car/limo services are the other two. These vehicles are spotless and the drivers are incredibly hospitable.

When Uber migrated to Fort Worth from Dallas (about a year ago, I think?), availability was tight. Not many vehicles. That lasted about a month.

I'm sitting in West Fort Worth and have 9 Black Cars within 8 minutes and 7 SUVs within 10 minutes. 4 UberX within 10 minutes.

Rode with the owner of a limo service couple of weeks ago that told me he bought 10 Denalis as quickly as he could get the bank to move. He's trying to by more.

We NEVER have to wait--you guys will LOVE Uber!

That's "wealthy" in Corpus Christi.

So are BC & SUV typically companies or do independent drivers offer (or even qualify to operate) under those services?

What about Nola?

Not anymore. Nola city council will ban it just because BR approved it.

This is great for BR if the drivers are there to perform the service. I know I'll use it if it works out well.

The drivers that I've talked to either own or work for a limo company.

Granted, this is a huge market for limo/car service companies, so keep that in mind.

Uber is really strict on appearance of cars, drivers, etc.

No idea.

I've used Uber in lots of cities and they are consistent across the board. Fleet of new S-Class Mercedes in Chicago. Picked up in a new Audi A8 in Santa Barbara.

Needless to say, I'm a fan.
