Who cares what TGBFTL does during half-time? As long as they're bringing the noise for 60 minutes pumping up the crowd and players then everything else is lagniappe.
I don't sit there for 15 minutes oogling the band wondering where we went wrong with our song and composition choices. I either use the restroom or talk with whomever I'm with/people around me about the first half.
Ohio State can win the band national championship...let LSU focus on the only Natty that matters and putting kids into the NFL where what they did in college actually gives them a million dollar career.

What's the argument for what a school can't have an entertaining band at half and a championship caliber footballe team.

The tiger band is only good for their pregame traditions and lsu songs. There is nothing special about them. That's unless you count endless Latin classics and earth wind and fire songs as special. Or if you count taking the 3rd quarter off to eat nachos. For the guy championing frank wicks, this has been going on long for as long as I can remember him existing.

hell, it goes back far beyond Wickes.....

the absolute best show (other than the veteran's day show) I ever saw tigerband perform was the circle drill to the light cavalry overture....
