Wow

If you look at those two storm tracks in the post from 4:47, both of them are passing right over Weatherford. Should've seen it...

frick it. Too easy.

The man with the farm next door to ours (and who farmed our land for nearly 60 years!) had moved into Greensburg that year, built a nice house, so he could be closer to medical services. He commuted to the farms.

He and Elsie survived by tucking themselves under the bottom of the basement stairs. They were beat up but lived. Literally every other piece of their new tornado-spec house was scrubbed away down to the foundation. They lost a number of friends.

While there are still several tornado warnings, there doesn't seem to be as many strong signatures as earlier.

You couldn't build a house strong enough to withstand that tornado.

Odd day across OK with lots of impressive looking mesos but not many tornadoes actually on the ground for any extended period of time. This is by far the best pic that I've seen today

I did see a news report that a trailer park in Alabama bought an old school bus and buried it to make a storm shelter. I am sure many old school buses have been used in different ways in Alabama, but this appeared to be a good solution to protect many people
