I sat next to a woman with a service yorkie last year she said it was cheaper to pay $300/year for the therapist + note than pay $125 each way for a dog ticket so there is your answer

I am willing to bet a large percentage of service dogs are only listed as that so people can have a too large or restricted breed in an apartment and also not have to pay any deposits or fees. Most of the "service dogs" I see are magically all on the banned breeds list.

First, I am a dog owner and love them. But I 100% agree the shite is out of hand. Especially on airplanes.

Got on the other day and some chick has her Golden Retriever with a damn vest. She used the dog to pre-board and get a bulkhead seat upgrade. Dog wasn't well trained and obviously nervous in the gate area. As I got on, dog was at her feet and growled then snapped at me. I kicked it square in the face. Lady started raising hell and they ended up booting her from the flight. Servers her right. Sorry but people before dogs.

Because for some vets suffering from severe PTSD....the service dogs are calming for them. Many of them have seen shite I hope I never see with my eyes in my lifetime. I'm ok if instead of ignoring the warning signs of PTSD...they get help and get a dog that keeps them calm in ordinary day to day activities.
The original post was simply "vets". Scruffy has no issue if it is for legitimate PTSD. That is an actual medical condition.

People abuse the system like always when a traveler can save thousands by getting a note they're gonna do it. Look at cpap machines now everyone and their mom has one and magically people lived for thousands of years without them. People abusing the system is nothing new, the majority of those with service dogs don't need them but realize the savings of having a certificate.

Those 2 pictures are gold.

First pic: woman realizes shes busted for being nuts (you can see it in her eyes)

Second pic: shields the dog as if to protect him from reality.

Priceless.

Spot on. Even better and I can't take pictures of it, but I love it when I walk into a liberal haven like Starbucks with my G19 on my hip and it's like Moses parting the Red Sea. Their precious safe spaces like that flaming liberal on here CaptainBrannigan are completely destroyed.

Was the dog crapping everywhere? Chasing people? Did it bite someone? If not, who cares and mind ya own business.

I have no issue with and fully approve of well behaved dogs in public. Annoying or poorly trained dogs need to be kept at home.

I'd much rather see that than some lady with an ankle bitter yipping the whole time. Wife is alway seeing little dogs being taken places and she asks I wonder how people would react if we brought our Great Danes and now I Know

I can too, its expensive as frick to travel when you own dogs. You have to pay for these pet hotels which are usually $35/day per dog, we have 3, so its a disaster everytime we travel, nice $700/week dog budget to travel. Id much rather pay $300/year per service dog fee or whatever that lady said it was, sounds like an hour of therapists time basically + cost of the note. It would save me a fortune but I don't really want to travel with 3 dogs anyhow.

Nah. Here's what I'd do with a service rabbit.

First, you make a roux...

I feel sorry for people (those without true disabilities) who can't function without a pet.
