I lurked here a long before I signed up. I have read a lot of OP's posts and find her to be pretty nice. She believes in people's goodness and is amazed when they don't do the right thing.

I wish she would come back and tend to her thread.

Here Kittie Kittie.

Really? I've read a lot of her post and I have found the opposite to be true.

Maybe it is a translation thing. She seems nice to me. She also seems a bit naïve, not realizing some people are born with a mean streak.

Maybe I just read her posts when she is high.

I'll never understand why people post their own private issues and dirty laundry with family, significant others and friends here for the purpose of soliciting advice. This is not a good place at all for that kind of advice, where it's all over the place, people being judgmental and flinging shite and a decent chance of your IRL identity being possibly exposed. Hell, this goes for the entire Internet in general and not just TD.

As a man and a father, I find that statement insulting.

Why do we have mothers day and fathers day then?

Good parents are something that's to be celebrated and praised especially right now in 2015.

Your mistaking my kindness for weakness is OK. Your assumptions of my motivation is mistaken. Your early elementary level of punctuation, spelling and sentence structure is understandable, considering.

The thing I am unsure of is, considering your flitting around calling everyone a pussy, or beta, how small are you?

Also, your constant suggesting that you are a stud, having hit every woman mentioned on TD is cute. I thank you, in advance, for the grins. It leads me to believe that the majority of women you have been with were bus station skanks. You do have some game with them though, so continue, as long as you are happy with them.

The standard response to a post like mine is "You don't know me" We can save some time here and you can skip that in your response. Don't forget to act big, tough and Alpha.

Come at me, bro.

I was not really a fan of yours. I never searched any of your posts before. I am becoming a fan though. A few of your posts have made me smile so I guess I owe you for that.

IRL, I probably know a few hundred TD posters, or their parents. I do not know that I know them so I guess I am an unknown entity. I only know for sure that I know one.

I am old and have met many people during my life. IRL, you would not be one of them, based on geography and time.

Smooth journeys, and whatnot....

So let me get this straight. Your son marries the mother of his child and your granddaughter. Your son dies and you think she doesn't deserve the home they shared?

Whoa. Not if the stepson didn't own the property in the first place. Watch your usage of the word 'deserves'. No one 'deserves' property that is not owned by either themselves or their spouse. It drives me bananas when people use that word to justify feeling entitled to shite that no one owes them.

ETA: I'm not going to go back and retread the thread but if the property was owned by the spouse, my bad.

That being said, I still don't think the girl and her daughter 'deserve' it anymore than they would if it weren't owned by the son. You don't earn the right to 'deserve' something by having a kid and living in a house that someone else owned before you got married.

There was land set aside for the son. Not sure if it is his yet or not. My point was that if you give something to your kid, and that kid is married and has children, then you're essentially giving it to the kid and spouse as well.

If you're the type of person to kick your DIL off your land if your kid (her husband and father of their child) died, well, that's on you and your conscience.

I wonder if she has always had this high and mighty attitude or whether she got it after she married into the family with the homeschool/pecan/free-suv complex.

So wait, OP married into this land owning family too. Was she knocked up as well? I bet her husband's family was thrilled with having an old divorcee marry their son and get land, a home, a car etc. Is the OP just pissed b/c she's exactly like the 19 yr old GF, except that she's old and washed up?

The OP has no right to be pisssd about any of this. She married into family too. The land and family money is her husbands. Hope he got a good prenup.

Don't forget about the grand-daughter.

On a related but different note, can anyone comment on the legal ramifications of a common-law marriage situation on home/property/asset division should the stepson and his GF separate after living together for several years without ever formally marrying one another???
