re: More damaging to kids: Youth football or XC running? - bigpetedatiga
The issue with youth football is that most parents that are coaches aren't qualified to coach. Injuries occur because of not teaching proper technique to tackle.
This, I try not to be that guy, but some of the shite I have seen go on at practices and games for these youth leagues is...

re: More damaging to kids: Youth football or XC running? - bigpetedatiga
Depends. A while back, I read that kids should stay away from serious XC running as the repeated impact could be hell on their developing joints. I don't know what the current science says, as I read that maybe ten years ago.
Depends on the type of workouts like someone else said...

re: More damaging to kids: Youth football or XC running? - bigpetedatiga
As with anything it depends on a bunch of factors. You can absolutely run a kid into the ground, but you absolutely do not see the type of injuries short and long lasting that you see in a lot of other sports, esp football. ...

re: Twin toddlers die in hot truck in Bossier - bigpetedatiga
I have twins that are now 13 and I can remember when they were around 3 years old. They could get into way more crap when they were together than you could believe. It's like they were constantly trying to one up the other. Don't know what happened in this case, but nothing twins do would...

re: Who is under more pressure on Sunday - Cleveland or Golden State? - bigpetedatiga
GS in my opinion. If LBJ loses then everyone just says that GS was better. If Cle wins, then not only did GS blow a 3-1 lead in the finals (first time ever), but it also puts an asterisk next to their 73 wins imo......

Looking for an old school type of gym in BR - bigpetedatiga
Just moved back and I am trying to familiarize myself with the area again. I went to Don Fields in Alexandria and really liked it. It was an old school type of gym with a lot of free weights and an outdoor workout area with tires and ropes. I am looking for a place like that in BR. Preferabl...

re: Does anybody else here follow Steven Universe? - bigpetedatiga
It is a great show. Me and my daughter really enjoy it. I personally wish they would be more consistent with releasing new episodes. It feels like you have to wait forever for another 15 minutes. Including this four week special they are currently doing. ...
