If this passes, I'll no longer consider Texas as a state to retire to.

Last time this kind of stupid shite took off, it helped launch a failed political Governorship campaign for Abortion Barbie.

Since she seems to be passing the leftist litmus test, we can begin speculating when Greg Abbott's opponent will formally announce.

I may have to join her. There's a good tag line for her to beCome Head of State. She may need me to be her Chief of Staff... since doing things for satirical purposes is cool.

Our own TD leader should run against her for obvious reasons.

Chicken, I would be honored to be your Chief of Staff.

In other words, there's a luxury tax on feminine hygiene products as they aren't considered a necessity.

So to answer your joke question, women do get penalized for having periods.

Hahahaha you can't be serious with this shite. That would be a sales tax....

That would be comparable to me saying that the lotion that I lather my man shtick with is a tax against men.... GTFO

There are plenty of serious bills that get proposed with no chance of passing. How is this any different.

Reminds me of the joke about women from Tracy Morgan , "How you gonna trust something that bleeds for 7 days and don't die."

Ha ... that's my legislator. Good God.

She ran unopposed in the last election. I might have to hop on the ballet next time. I won't win but I could have some fun with this.

Because those bills are usually revised to reflect the opinions of those that originally opposed them. This is nothing more than a publicity stunt.

Can you name ONE item that is tax exempt in your state?

"For those uninitiated in the country’s tax codes (lucky you!), most states tax all “tangible personal property” but make exemptions for select “necessities” (non-luxury items). Things that are considered necessities usually include groceries, food stamp purchases, medical purchases (prescriptions, prosthetics, some over-the-counter drugs), clothes (in some states), and agriculture supplies. The lists of exemptions vary from state to state."

Alabama is listed as "taxes Tampons" but I also pay sales tax on groceries, medical purchases that I am aware of, cloths and ag supplies that I buy for my home (pest control, weed control etc.). Not sure where you found this.

And why wouldn't they tax tampons? Not to sound shitty but they tax stuff that men buy too, why not stuff that women buy?
