21 Jump Street

This has got to be entrapment. I mean these cops should be in the streets busting real weight criminals/cartels guys. They are also charging most kids as adults when clearly they were underage when investigation started.

OT thoughts?

i like it, and these kids can be "real weight criminals" I graduated with a guy who wa slingin in high school. Shortly thereafter he was busted as the ring leader of the biggest meth bust in the south eastern states, even had cartel ties.

My thought is, that we shouldn't even have controlled substances.
Access will already be there, but at least with legality comes treatment and taxes.

We need em but almost total decriminalization. I mean this article proves the "drug war" has gotten off course.

"Son, you shouldn't do drugs, they will ruin your life. So I am arresting you to make sure you learn a lesson"

essentially ruining their life with the felony charge.

really don't understand this fricked up logic and why people think its a good plan.

it should all be legalized and taxed. It is much "safer" for cops to pick on high school kids vs mexican cartels.

It's been off course. Time to surrender and readjust.

I'm against Coke, heroin, Met and what have you. I just know that making it illegal does not stop people from obtaining and using it. I also think Sobaxin and Methadone makes even more problems with it's "legal addicts".

Just think all the money we throw at the drug wars should go toward treatment and prevention.

Lt. Chris Reioux of the Brazoria County Narcotics task force told the newspaper his department had conducted several “Jump Street”-style operations in recent years.

Reioux also said he hates the “Jump Street” movies.
How can the citizens of Brazoria County have any faith in law enforcement when their leaders have such poor movie tastes, and likely, lack any normal sense of humor?

It's a horrible plan. I was talking to a guy who was down on his luck. Couldn't get a job because he is a felon. (hell I can't even hire him) He got caught with pot at 17, 20 and 22 and he's 33 now. Three pot charges = a felony in Louisiana.
None of the charges were for more than five grams. It's just sad. Did he make bad choices? Yes, of course.

But I took/take the same risks and am in a position where I have to tell him I can't hire him because people who supply me with work require back ground checks.
Even though I 420 more than him, I was just luckier.

It's crazy how these simple drug charges from shite that should and will eventually be legal can ruin your life, and keep you in minimum wage land for life.

big time is completely relative to charges on record prior etc etc

I don't have faith or trust law enforcement as it is...pearland pd/HPD are a bunch of push overs apparently going after kids when they could be in the streets

if these "kids" are peddling drugs to your children or grandchildren in school, how is that any safer than those thugs on the streets.

I wonder how many underage chicks the cops hooked up with in that 8 months of going deep cover.
