I grew up Midtown. Dad worked downtown. He seemed to appreciate the short commute and neighborhood feel with convenience to our schools.

And yes. There's a ton of LSU alums and fans, especially post Katrina.

Truth. We ate at burgers at an Irish bar (Callaghans) on Cinco de Mayo and a group of cyclists in tights took over the place after their ride. That older part of town reminded me of New Orleans in a good way.

They're pretty similar. I do like that BR is a little bit bigger and seems to have some more mobility career wise.

I live in Daphne and drive to work in Mobile. It's not that bad of a commute (Causeway every single day, never the Bay Way)

I saw it on Facebook earlier. What his beef? Seems like it's with a local branch/banker and not the national office.

:WAT:

You lost me there broseph. Althought I get that you want to live in an area that makes you feel like your living in NOLA and close to a few cool bars but other than that you can have mid town Mobile.

Come over here to the Eastern Shore where it happening!

I'm a huge fan of the Eastern Shore, honestly. I'd plop down on a spot in Magnolia Springs. Family has land over in Silver Hill, but I wanted to get the OT's opinion of living in Mobile vs. Eastern Shore.

My daughter married a young man from Daphne, and I see the appeal there, and Fairhope. Its more like the north shore of NOLA, though. If I ever move to Lower Alabama, I would chose midtown Mobile, the beach or out in the country. No suburbs for me. That said, Baldwin is one of the best counties in America.

not sure. I go by the Bike Shop a lot though after work and saw that.

then came home and saw it posted up on Facebook.

also saw some old picture of the Bluegill posted on there after hurricane camille in 1969 from the History of Spanish Fort's page. All kinds of stuff on there today.

I live in Mobile.. don't feel so lucky.

but its better than living in some trash town from Florida or other Gulf Coast areas I'd imagine.
