With the 100k+ population in The Woodlands, there is only 1 Catholic Church. Plenty of other Christian churches though. It's not the same as South LA.

There's at least two; St. Simon & Jude off of Panther Creek and St. Anthony of Padua (has a Catholic school attached; I know a lot about this church because my family was part of the founding group that started in Oak Ridge High School's cafeteria...was an altar server and father was in the youth group, Life Teen) off of Kuykendahl.

The Catholic high school is Frassati off of Spring-Steubner.

How do you live in Conroe and work in downtown Houston without committing suicide everyday?

Isn't there public transportation from Woodlands to downtown? I would take that and chill.

I live 1.5 miles from my office downtown and I sometimes think that's too far.

I could not fathom spending over an hour one way on the road every day just to get to work....bus, train, car....wouldn't make a difference.

I would live in the area between New Waverly and Huntsville if you want land.

Top school district in the Houston Metro area. North of The Woodlands. Great area IMO

No! A bad crime element is moving into the Spring area.

Yea, Spring sorta borders Greenspoint...lots of crime, murders, etc. Take a wild guess at the demographic there.

I have had a shooting take place very near me in Greenspoint. It lives up to the reputation. Spring has some nicer areas the closer you get to the Woodlands, but I don't believe the school districts are as good.

I live west of conroe and can tell land prices have sky rocketed in the past five years..not sure where you are moving from but be prepared to be shocked what people are asking for parcels of land 15 to 20 acres.

Have family that moved there about 25 yrs ago to the lake. It was rural then. Has most all the amenities now.

It's not that bad.

A lot of people from the Midewest seem to retire and live on Lake Conroe.

Conroe is like a less dense Woodlands.

I would probably live closer to Montgomery if I wanted to buy that much anchorage.

In favor of Montgomery there is a pretty good BBQ shack in between the two. Can't remember the name, but you just order out of the window.
