Whats the OT's opinion of them?

never had one and dont care one way or another for them, but looking at sedans and noticed some have them.

Are they considered trashy?

Everything is trashy

I had one once on an accord. Girl I was dating would drink wine and then stand up through the sunroof while we were at jack in the box at 3 am. Good times

always thought the idea was good....but it is too damn hot here to get any use out of something like that. even when closed, the radiant heat that comes off of them is pretty damn shocking.

Love them!

On a hot day, open it up and let the heat out after parking in the sun.

Winter time, open it up and run the heater.

Spring and Fall....open and let the fresh air in.

Even with it closed, get to see the sky while driving.

Pleasant feeling to open that top up on the last day of work going home.

Get one.

Are they trashy? WTF?!
Do you consider the ability to roll down windows in your car trashy?

Windows that you have to roll down are trashy. Electric windows are not.

They are not trashy but it'seems a lot of $ for something people rarely use.

Furthermore many high end luxury brands now offer only a translucent screen cover of the opening which gives a nice natural light ambience during the day but allows significant UV ray penetration into the cockpit directly on the heads of thefront passenger and the drivers seats. Those who are follicular lyrics challenged may need to wear a hat to prevent burnage!

Gotta have one. My ol lady hanging out the passenger side window showing her tits isn't nearly as badass as her standing through the sunroof doing it.

correct. a sun/moonroof is not trashy, but a panoramic roof is really considered more upscale.

The glass has a filter on it to block out most of the UV radiation.

Won't own a car without one.

That's like saying no one needs satellite radio. What is this, the Stone Age?
