I love driving at night when it's about 65 degrees outside with the sunroof open.

When I used to be able to drive my pace car I liked in spring and fall.

Had one in both of my old SUVs. Now I just flip the top back on the Jeep.

Many cars have the sunroof/moonroof as part of an options package. In my case I couldn't get all the options I wanted with the moonroof.
I rarely use it.

Don't need one, I just didn't get my back windshield repaired when it got busted out.

It's a neat thing to have, but isn't of great use unless you smoke in your car. If you smoke in your car it's a must for the sanity of non smoking riders.

My last car had a sunroof. It was just part of the package we got. I did not use it much. I have a convertible now. I prefer the convertible.

Best way to flick my cigs without getting ash all over my window.

What about a Chicago Sunroof? I hear they make great gifts to give to friends and family.

If you have a sunroof I HIGhLY recommend splurging on some sort of upgraded tint. I blacked mine out and it made a pretty big difference in the temp of my car in the summer. You don't have to see through it. If you want a view of the sky just open it.

Asking for advice on the OT is trashy.

What's the difference between a moonroof and a sunroof?
We have one in both vehicles and the only time it's even used is when we slide back the cover in a car wash to entertain our 2 year old. They come in the base model of our vehicles so it's not like we paid extra. Could easily do without.

quote:
CARS.COM — There is a technical difference between a sunroof and a moonroof, but most everybody uses the terms interchangeably. First off, both are panels in the roof that let light or fresh air inside the cabin. Getting down to details, though: A sunroof is typically a solid body-colored panel that pops up or is removable. A moonroof is a type of sunroof, except that it’s a sliding glass panel. The majority of new cars have moonroofs, as what’s technically considered a sunroof has pretty much gone out of style.

I have the panoramic moonroof in my SUV. I love it. Roll down windows and open it up and cruise along the coast out here.

Had one in my last 2 cars and enjoyed it a lot on cool spring/fall days. New car doesn't have one, but I don't really miss it.
