"I don't know how you made an A on your 9th grade final Algebra exam, but you must have cheated."
In reality, my parents hired a really hot looking tutor for me, that understood the subject, and didn't have to get the answers to the questions from the back of the book like his dumb coach arse did.

Calculus teacher got mad at four of us in the back of class that never paid attention to her. She asked us to stay after class one day and literally told us, "just because you are smart, doesn't mean you are smart". I have no fricking clue what she meant but she wasn't happy. Anyway, three of us have graduate degrees and the fourth is an engineer, so I guess we were a little "smart".

There is no way legally you can turn 1 million to 5 million in 30 days.

You need to learn how to do it without a calculator because you'll never have one available when you need it.

Let me guess.... It was about State's rights? Yet the secession of the first state was in direct response to an Abolitionist being elected president. The chief "right" of which was the right to the normal agrarian culture the south was used to, ie chattel slavery. So yes it was about state's rights, the right to slavery the chief among them.

Yes I know two northern states had slavery, but Maryland had to be made to stay in the Union because the location of the capitol and delaware had slavery, yet it was on the decline. Delaware was also vital to the north.

To say the civil war wasn't about slavery is silly, to say it was all about slavery is also wrong. But YES, it was about slavery.

"states rights" right? officially it may be down as that but what righ do you think they were fighting for?

Obviously it was about slavery. The federal government started encroaching on states' rights almost from the beginning of our republic. Through Supreme Court decisions and overreaching legislation, it gradually increased its power and the states gradually lost their sovereignty. This met with protest and complaints and was often a point of legitimate political debate, but never did any states' rights advocates come close to going to war over it until the particular states' right involved was slavery.

You know what pct of southerners owned slaves? 4. 4 fricking pct.

You know who made up almost all of the men who died for the Confederacy? The 96%. The poor fricks who did the same shite the slaves did every day for their family farms. You think these dudes were going to go die in their own shite for the rich dudes down the street to stay rich? frick no. They probably hated those guys.

It probably had more to do with waking up and looking out your window to see a bunch of dudes who arent from your home marching across your land. There is a reason the south called it the war of northern aggression. Thats what they viewed it as. Do a little research. Maybe you think you know what the generals and politicians were after...but you are way off when it comes to the intentions of the soldiers.

Countries go to war and act based on the interest of their leaders and the ruling class, not of the people. Yes let's say 96% of southerners did not have slaves. But what percent of that 96% were generals and other leaders of the south?

Then as now we act based on what the 1% or 4% then, tell us to act on. We are not led by the people, we are just told that we are. The people of the south didn't just see Yankees "walking across their farms" and decide to attack. The slave owning class that led the states, decided to secede to protect their rights. The right to own slaves a chief one. The right to not pay the crazy tariffs on
unprocessed goods another.

The myth that is was not about slavery is one that is only taught in smaller southern areas so that way they can not feel bad about their ancestors.

Also intentions of the soldiers has never ever ever mattered in any war. Most of the Wehrmacht were not bad guys, but to us they will always be fricking Nazis.
Soldiers are pawns to officers who are themselves pawns to flag officers who are themselves pawns to the commander in chief.
