Teacher in high school ask me if i'd rather have $1,000,000 right now or $0.1that doubled every day for a month, I told her I would take the $0.1 that doubled. She called me an idiot and said I'd be throwing away money....showed her this picture and she was such a bitch she still thought she was right

Wait...what? Your teacher asked you that exact question, and you just happened to know that there was an image you could pull up which illustrated that exact concept?

Man y'all waste a lot of time arguing about why that war happened, but did y'all ever ask if it happened?

I mean we'd all be a lot more guilt free and have less shite to worry about if the whole thing turned out to be false. Maybe that's what we should be looking into....

It depends if you believe all people are equal, or if you believe that white men are the top of the pyramid. Your statement shows you belief.

We the People, not We the White Man.

I got a D- for a paper I wrote in college. The topic was, "How will law enforcement curb speeding in the future". I wrote that maybe one day someone will drsign radars linked to camera's and will send tickets when someone speeds by. Her comment will always stick with me. She wrote, "This will never happen and Id suggest putting more thought into something more believable."

She told me that the only reason she didnt give an F was bc I turned it in. That was the only time Ive ever gotten anything lower than a B on an english paper.

Its also unfortunate I never tried to put that idea to use bc Id be living it up right now.

Not sure if serious, as you just summed up the history of the world only to deny it.

Me: "Uhh...it doesn't. It comes up for air."

Her: "Naw...a whale have gills."

Me: "Mmmm no I'm pretty sure it has a blowhole."

Her: "I'll get back to ya bout dat."

Me: "Cool, do that." Dropped the class.

Exactly. While I'm not naive to the fact that for the leaders it was about slavery, which we have proof of. Except for Lee, it was about defending his home state.

But if you asked the common soldier, it was for something completely different.

You know what pct of southerners owned slaves? 4. 4 fricking pct.

It probably had more to do with waking up and looking out your window to see a bunch of dudes who arent from your home marching across your land. There is a reason the south called it the war of northern aggression. Thats what they viewed it as. Do a little research. Maybe you think you know what the generals and politicians were after...but you are way off when it comes to the intentions of the soldiers.
Just because they didn't own slaves doesn't mean that they weren't fighting to protect slavery. They could have and probably were fighting to protect slavery and what they saw as supremacy over slaves. They may have been poor, but at least they weren't slaves and they may have been worth fighting for.

Do I really need to or do you not get the implication of your post?

"We gave away our power, WE didn't need to"
You can say "it was right, but it wasn't smart"

White people are dumb for giving up their power. To say that implies that you believe whites are superior as they were not wise in giving up their power to lesser peoples.

Serious question, by your logic then did the soldiers of Maryland and Delaware fight the south to protect slavery in their state too?
