i've heard rumors of some in that area north of Alec, around like Many

i know DeRidder is chock a block full of pentecostals and apostolics, but i don't think those are around much up there (or if they are, i'd never be invited/allowed to attend b/c it's like Fight Club)

Of course! What kind of stupid question is that?

Last month while I was in a conversation with Christ he revealed to me a future date to keep my eyes on. Of course I can't reveal the date or the reason why that date is important, but I can tell you that it's coming...

yeah and I completely understand that and agree that some churches are

there are a couple of people in the crowd that sometimes I feel like do certain things for attention, too...but overall most people are genuine that I've met.

I think the surprise factor plays into a lot of it.

Also, if you want to speak in tongues say the following:

She bought a Honda but wanted to buy a Hyundai

really fast with no breaks.

Personally, I think getting the Holy Ghost is having the spirit of God guiding you, and you being in tune with God. Speaking in tongues is real, but as a very faithful believer I do think the majority of people force themselves to do it.

I might be a little more understanding of this practice if the 'gibberish' was an actual language (current or past, but able to be verified). I would think the Holy Spirit could translate your thoughts into an actual language upon request, if only to prove that it's not all a bunch of gibberish.

The new house we bought is about 2 blocks from an Hispanic Pentecostal church. I am quite intrigued.

Correct.

That was a pretty good movie with a decent cast.

Not surprised your movie taste beckoned you to watch it!

I experienced first hand; Catholics do this shite too.

My parents sent me to some Catholic Conference at Nichols when I was like 13 and there were dozens of people laughing hysterically, crying, and speaking in tongues during adoration.

I most be a lucky SOB. Out of the billions of folks on the planet I have a cousin who the lord comes to and tells him the impending end of times is upon us. He once told me to come stay in his bunker because of Y2K disaster. I said no thanks but have fun He still trying to convert me into what I don't know and don't want to know

it's not even about being genuine or faking it (hell plenty of catholics are doing that, too)

creating an atmosphere where the whole point is to get people wrapped up in a burst of energy just seems like you're introducing variables that are only there to make up for the spirituality and religious message. it's a crutch. i guess that's the best way to describe it without being too harsh
