Tongues is merely an ancient alien language that was thought to our ancestors through Angels, who are technically aliens. They would come to earth and skull frick our women with their huge Nephimum dicks to induce incredible orgasims, causing them to speak in such a way.
bro
the Nephilim are the offspring of the giants/aliens and human womenz, not the aliens themselves

We have lost track of the true purpose of this thread.... the holy spirit...

That is not the case in these churches.

It's fake, and I am a Christian

Sometimes it's mob mentality, other times its people looking for attention. There are plenty of studies on the topic, so I am missing some mentality disorders/cool ways the brain works that also cause this.

you know what is a very similar (and just as awkward) scenario?
the martial art "master" complex (esp in Japan)
Akido is full of them
here is one example. i'm looking for a better one
dudes will straight up play a theatrical performance in submission to the master and his "chi"
great example. he's not even touching them

Speaking in tongues is totally fake. Real Christians handle venomous snakes...

Seeing them fall on the floor and go nuts with talking in tongues freaks me the frick out every time.
When I was six years old I went with neighbors to a pentecostal church. I had never heard of "catching the holy ghost or speaking in tongues". During the sermon this chick sitting right in front of me who was probably 12 or so caught the holy ghost. She wound up laying in the isle on the floor flopping around like a fish out of water, having seizures, and speaking tongues. All of the older women formed a circle around her and were yelling and crying.
Very bad scene for someone of any age not expecting it, especially a six year old kid.
I headed towards the isle opposite of where she was and walked the 2 1/2 miles to the house. I couldn't even sleep for a few nights. I was very afraid I was going to catch the holy ghost just from being so close to her when she caught it. Never went back to a pentecostal church again.

what's supposed to be the "point" in talking in tongues?
I used to go to Bethany as a kid I remember that much.
